Mistletoe (Missy) is a petite 11-lb., 8-year-old American Hairless Terrier. She was born with a cleft lip and had plastic surgery when she was a puppy. This left her with sort of an "Elvis" sneer, but that doesn't stop her from being wonderfully sweet, extremely smart, and almost human-like at times. She is energetic and playful, but also loves to chill out and snuggle with her people. Missy is mostly housetrained and will bark when she needs to go out, but may have an accident if you miss the signals. She is not crate trained, but does well if she is confined to a small room when no one is home. She is good with other dogs once she gets to know them, and has had kitty friends in the past but has not been around cats recently. Missy rides well in the car and is leash trained. She is frightened of very young children, but usually okay around kids age 8 and up. Missy is in dire need of some dental work, which her former owner could not afford, so this will need to be done by her new family.
Note: This dog is a "Guardian Assistance Placement" dog, meaning she is being cared for in a home that is not affiliated with Ratbone Rescues. The guardian has supplied vet records and signed an agreement giving Ratbone the right and responsibility to rehome her, but Ratbone does not have physical custody and cannot otherwise vouch for any of the information provided.
